This is one of the stories that stand out because of how the two meet, part ways and meet again. When she was still young, she fell in love with her friend's older brother while visiting italy, and wanted him to look at her as a woman. The very night her wish comes true, her cousin arrives to pick her up and her love and her cousin fall in love at first sight. Seeing how much they're in love and how much she loves both of them she decides not to interfere and leaves after they marry. Years later she becomes a traveling artist painting portraits. When she comes back to Italy a few hours from her cousin's family's home, she goes to visit an reunites with the man she decided to give up on and her cousin's son. It was great how they were shown to really be happy spending time with family, even when it's been years since they've seen each other. Her cousin, having died a few years ago was sad but the belief the son had that his mother send her cousin to him and his father so they could be happy again was beautiful. You could tell how much being together meant to all three of them. Although I do hate the father's mother. But what's a harlequin without some drama.
