Penniless and Purchased
A revealing dress, glitter in my hair and cheap lipstick… This isn’t me! My name is Sophie and I was born into a wealthy home. Now I work at a shoe boutique during the day…and just started an escort job at night where I’m supposed to have dinner with wealthy men. But one night, while I was with a client in a sleazy bar, I ran into the last person I’d possibly want to see! “What are you doing here?” Nikos Kazandros. We met four years ago when Nikos was my father’s client and we fell in love, but now he’s just the man who took everything from me.

PROS: The story was really good and told well. Going back and forth from the past and present had happened between the main characters. Had me teary-eyed up at several moments and I could really felt the emotions being portrayed . CONS: Needed to be longer, 127 pages was not enough time to go in depth with their characteristics and personalities. If it had been one of the 144+ books, I would have given it a 4 or 5 star rating, but the ending definitely could have been better. Really wished the father had more scenes with Sophie or even a scene of a possible future with grandchildren... or SOMETHING of the future!
