Just a fun fact about the artwork, the illustrator makes the hero's hair look like a little old woman. So, the hero belongs to a family group of men who have a curse of finding their soulmate and should anything happen to them, the men or women in the family go into a downward spiral of hell. The hero and heroine meet at the hero's partner's house. The hero thinks that the heroine is the partner's "girlfriend" when she's actually the daughter. I like that the heroine maintains her independence with her own apartment & job. The two of them share a hot moment together, which drives the hero insane. When the hero finds out the truth, he gets all hot but also arrogant because he stops and HE will decide when & where they will have intercourse. He's quite arrogant. They do have some decent moments together like him explaining his family curse. I was a bit surprised of their first intercourse. I did like seeing the couple from the first book together with their kids. It was so cute. I do admit that while the hero is a jerk, the heroine has drawn more blood from the hero than any heroine that I have read from harlequin. I did like the quick reunion between the two of them. I also loved that the heroine walked down the aisle with not only her birthfather but also her stepfather. To me, that was so sweet. I loved the ending.
