Leading off to where the heroine falls off the balcony but is saved by the brother of the hero. We further on learn that the brother has some sort of grudge against the hero and his mother how is the hero's stepmother. I am going to say that I like the hero's stepmother a lot more than a I like the heroine's mother. We also learn that the brother didn't get any title or inheritance from his father, which is a surprise and the heroine questions as to why? Further on, the heroine is learning bad things about the hero from the brother and it's hard to say of whether it's true by what she has seen of the hero and the connection of her father's death. I did like that we see a little more of the hero's perspective, not much like there is some at the beginning and a little at the end. We are still in the suspense of the rioter and the burning of buildings, that's what's making it exciting. I think that the one thing that stays the same is the mother's snobbery. There is a bit of issue between the couple but when danger is looming closer, they start to put things aside to protect the people they care about. The wedding was a bit bland but then again, they weren't at a understanding but I did like that it wasn't the grand off the top but a nice medium and elegant wedding. I love how they both come out with each other honestly before the ending, over 20 pages before the end of the book. We learn a few things about the brother that aren't so clean and the end of the book, something really bigs happens but I won't say because it will spoil the fun. I really liked this book.
