Caitlyn’s nickname in school was Bookworm. She never did anything girly. Instead, all she did was study. She was too tall and had a flat chest and was far from being considered a cute girl. That’s why she always thought that love wasn’t for her. That is, until Rafaelo, a handsome Spanishmarquis, appears in front of her!

This story was something that I enjoyed. The hero is the bastard of the father who is the boss of the heroine. We get to see how that plays out. The hero meets the father at the funeral of the oldest son and he attempts to talk to him in private till the heroine provokes to pull the skeleton out of the closet. That is interesting with the other sons yelling and the wife running away. The heroine scolds him and that it starts going on. I found it good that the heroine was the only one being polite to the hero because everyone else wasn't. I also liked that the hero had a happy childhood instead of a sad one. He was loved by his mom and stepdad who he fought was his real dad till he died 6 months earlier revealing the truth on his death bed. Yeah, I think the hero deserves a little leeway. I like that they don't have sex till around 75 pages. They start learning more about each other and like each other for their character traits and not the physical ones. They really hit it off and when the hero rescues the heroine from the fire with the horses was awesome. Then helping a damaged horse being able to be comfortable with human contact. It was a great ending with everything resolved and the hero and the family come to an understanding. It was a good read.
