Seeking a quiet, reclusive rural life, Willow moves to a cottage in the country and ends up causing not one but two fires in quick succession. Her clumsiness angers her next- door neighbor Morgan and he comes to yell at her, but looking at her depressed face, he can’t help offering a hand. But Willow is reluctant to accept his aid and won’t open herself up to him. Regardless of what lies in her past, Morgan can’t stop himself from falling for this frail woman with an independent spirit.

I liked this book a lot because it's about how with the help of the hero, the heroine finds her feet to help her move on with her life and away from her haunted past and abusive husband. I love how the issue of a burning chimney is the first building step in the hero and heroine's developing relationship from neighbors to friends then more. I love how even when the heroine rejects the hero's confession of love, he still helps her when she hears that her sister is at the hospital. Not to mention how he broke the two front teeth of the abusive husband. It was a good romance to read.
