Not happy with hero 1  1

Spoiler The hero forces/rapes the heroine and she forgives him. I really don’t think that as romantic, so this is just a heads up that if you don’t like that in romance novels (I know I don’t) there are better books out there!

didn't need to lie in this one. 3  3

The hero and heroine are cousins but the heroine is the adopted child of the uncle who's spent seven years caring for an old cranky grandpa without a monthly paycheck but she was left all his assets which really ticks off the blood related relatives because she's adopted and therefore has no right to the the inheritance. However, she can only receive the assets if she marries one of the blood related single male members of the family, so there's a kicker for her because she couldn't care less about not receiving the money herself but she's thinking on behalf of the elderly staff who cared for her when she was younger and weren't given a pension to live on. The heroine goes to the hero because he's the only one she can trust but he refuses the offer since he likes the status of being single. Yet, he becomes involved when he learns the heroine just wants a sham marriage because she has a guy waiting for her. So, they reach London before getting and the heroine finds out that the guy she was waiting for had already married and shocks over why the man would keep writing her when he was married. So, when the heroine admits that she went to see the OM to the hero but lies about seeing him and he was married. Later, the heroine finds that the hero has moved her into his place where the heroine learns from his butler of his lonely childhood. However, right after they get married does the media swoop in on them and the will receives the grandfather was bankrupt. The hero demands to know if the heroine knew about the bankruptcy and she denies that she ever did. The heroine doesn't take three seconds to think and remember that the heroine isn't that kind of woman and takes her on the found of angry sex. He immediately regrets it when he learns it was her first time. So, the morning after was bad and the next few days are so tense that the heroine develops psychogenic stress that the hero takes her out on vacation where they start talking and learning more about each other. Things go well but the heroine learns about a bound of coitus that their first time together resulted in a baby and now she's decides to lie to the hero that the OM wants her to live with him. So, she leaves without taking a single thing that the hero gave her but later on, the hero gets a letter from the grandfather hiding his bankruptcy and apologizing for being so greedy and keeping the heroine at his side and hopes the hero can have a happy life with her. The hero remembers that his argument with the grandfather was him taking the heroine with him to live free but he was insulted by the grandfather's accusation on his feelings for the heroine that he left and never returned. Next, he finds the letters from the OM and goes to the address where he learns the OM is married and the heroine lied to him because he cornered her. The hero gets surprise when the heroine appears in his house because his butler got hurt and they finally have an open conversation that starts with the hero asking why the heroine lied to him. It's a good conversation but a trip to the toilet for the heroine reveals her pregnancy to the hero and they talk things over and admit that they love each other.

Nice bitter-and-sweet story 4  4

Cute story! It's true: it's a real bittersweet passion, with ups and downs! Even if the heroine is excessively willing to self-sacrificing... Drawings are so nice, too. Of course it's worth reading!
