Twelve years later, she hasn’t heard a word about her daughter and Jennifer has become a successful car dealership manager. She is intent on her work when a charming man named Brian appears. He is looking for the birth mother of his twelve-year-old niece, who just lost her foster family to a terrible tornado.… Will Jennifer reunite with her daughter?

Oh, this was a tear jerker for all the characters. I mean we have a heroine who suffers from the guilt of giving up her kid to give her a better life when she was just a teenager because the boyfriend spread horrible rumors about her at school that everyone except for a few friends of the heroine's believed and her home life was worse. The hero has recently lost all his family except for his niece in a tornado. He's trying everything possible to put a smile on his niece's face, while dealing with his own grief. When he finds out the one thing that can bring his sweet niece's smile back is finding her birth mother. So, he finds her but he wants to get to know her before he introduces. During this time, the two meet and such, they fall in love but both hard weighed down by the heavy secrets that they carry. After getting to know the heroine behind the successful business woman is a hurt girl who wishes she didn't give up her baby. Now, he's torn because he wants to make his niece happy but knowing that if the heroine found out about him coming to her with an ulterior motive would hurt her. It's so sad and I just wanted them to have a happy ending. So, the heroine and niece meet without knowing each other's true identities and it goes well. However, the heroine finds out the truth and crud hits the fan. Things are cleared up but the tension is still there between the hero and heroine. However, the niece can see the two are miserable without each other and encourages the hero to propose to the heroine one more time. It works the second time and she happily accepts. It is a really sweet ending and I definitely recommend this book to rent.
