What a knot it is when you do things for the ones you love without consulting them. Example: the heroine dissolves her engagement to the hero because she doesn't want to subjugate him to the life of a royal person who will have to sacrifice his dreams of being an architect to be part of the royal family with his freedom along with it. The only problem is that she never brought it up with him and lied to him through the phone. This is happening when the heroine is in high school and the hero is in college. She broke his heart and he married a woman that his parent's chose who broke his wallet in the divorce of the century. So, after ten years, he's called back by the heroine's brother who's the hero's best friend and had no idea about the engagement but gets an idea when he sees how the two interact and he's not the only one. His wife can see the tension and can practically cut with a knife. The hero has come to risk everything in order to get revenge on the heroine for stomping all over his heart by seducing her and then discarding her. In this game of push and pull, a few things pop up like the heroine apologizing to the hero for hurting the hero with her choice that didn't involve his input and forgetting his plan of revenge. In fact, the two falling in love but the heroine is shocked and hurt when she overhears the hero's phone call to his lawyer about his revenge. The hero tries to explain but she locks him out of her heart. He doesn't give up and when he sees her again, he runs after and opens his heart to her. It's actually why I gave the comic a second star because of how good the declaration of love was. It's a nice ending but it just gets tiring for me when you have the no explanation theme in a story.
