- Never a call a woman a "mistress" 3.5 4
- JAB 04/15/2018
The worldwide but broken hero meets the pure and sheltered country girl heroine in France. He's attracted to her pureness and she's attracted to manliness. The two of them spend time together and grow into a relationship. What kind of relationship is defined very differently, the heroine thinks they're in a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship and the hero sees their relationship as a businessman and their mistress. The heroine of course has no idea but I considered it strange that she was living in a place, only met his cousin and his girlfriend and she wasn't working and she never thought. In fact, the word "mistress" doesn't enter her mind until she meets the hero' unwanted fiancee's perverted and creepy brother who offers to take her on when the hero is done with her. This is all after she thinks she is pregnant and after she hears from the hero's voice, "you're my mistress" and sees the positive result from the pregnancy test she took. What's more, she gets a visit from the fiancee's mother who offers her a check to get out of the hero's life. This whole thing upsets the heroine so much that she leaves with only the things she had before she met the hero. The hero is shocked because he gave her all those nice things but she still didn't stay. Luckily, the hero's cousin and his cousin's wife are able to knock some sense into him by making him realize that the heroine loves him for him. He is able to find the her and they talk it out about how they felt and feel now. It was a nice ending with the wedding and a good blow to the horrible hero's father and "it was never going to happen" Hero's not future mother in law.
