THE SECRET LIFE OF LADY GABRIELLA
Ellie is masquerading as a woman with royal connections so that she, an aspiring novelist, can write her regular column for an upper-class style magazine. Housesitting a mansion in the owner's absence makes her ruse possible. But while she’s writing, the owner of the mansion returns unexpectedly. "I’m back now, so I don't need you anymore." She can't very well keep up her charade while homeless. And Ben is too attractive for words. Maybe there’s another way she can earn her keep...

The heroine has submitted an illustrations portfolio writing to an editor. Yet, she's lied that she's a real Lady with a big house, devoted husband, beautiful garden, and happy kids. Now, the editor want more detail on the heroine's life but she doesn't know diddly squat on the things that she was painted and written. She's also only a housekeeper/sitter. Then she meets the hero who owns the mansion that she is currently keeping and living. The hero is shocked to find out that his sister has hired the heroine to care for his house. The heroine and hero learn about each other's hard parts in their pasts from the hero's girlfriend horribly dumping him to the heroine losing her husband in a traffic accident. The hero finds out from a friend that his sister wanted to help the heroine since she was being sexually harassed by her former landlord since the heroine took care of her when she was sick with fever. As questions start the heroine arising on her work, the heroine starts practicing on making flower beds, cooking, and such with the help of a next door neighbor with a water gun and the hero. As the hero and heroine spend more and more time together, they become more intimate. They are also able to break down their own walls. The heroine sends an email to the editor, confessing that she's not who she stated to be. The hero is also able to let the influence of the ex-girlfriend go even when she comes back for him. The heroine doesn't see the hero but gets a shock when she sees the hero and her editor in the same room. The editor tells the heroine she knew from the start that the heroine lied since she's well informed about nobility but she chose the heroine's work because she knew it would be popular. Once the editor leaves, the hero accuses her of using him in order to promote the column. She tells him it wasn't the case and he became the person she wanted for an ideal husband. The hero confesses his feelings as well to the heroine. I found the ending to it all as simply lovely.
