I quite liked how the plot played out for the hero and heroine. The heroine is on the run from some bad guys because she witnessed them murdering someone and she doesn't know how to trust. She rushes out but her car stops in the middle of a snowstorm. She trudges through the snow to find the hero's little hideaway cabin and stays with him. They have a hard time communicating but they manage to meet halfway in learning more about each other. The hero tells her about his family and his recent tour that had him injured and lose his whole troop. He's on medical leave presently and the heroine trusts him enough to tell him the truth after he sends the two guys away who have been looking for her and lying that she's a runaway prisoner. She called the police but they turned out to be the police and she ran for it. He believes her and decides to help her by taking her to his family to get help from the FBI. From then on, it's a hide and dodge with surprises along the way. They have a couple of passionate nights and the hero pops the question for what he points out as two reasons: 1) the heroine might be pregnant & 2) it will throw the bad guys off because they're looking for a single woman and not a couple. His reasons convince the heroine to go along with the marriage and they quickly get married at a courthouse. They make to the farm and the hero makes plans to catch the bad guys with the help of his brothers. The bad guys come out with their lies but the hero and the FBI set a trap for them, which they get caught in. In the excitement, the hero asks the heroine if she would like to make their marriage a real one. She happily accepts and we have a great Texas wedding.
