A NIGHT WITH THE SOCIETY PLAYBOY
Ava has returned home for her brother's wedding after being away for eight years; there she encounters her brother's best friend, Caleb—the same man who took her virginity at the high school prom and then proceeded to go to the Caribbean with another girl the very next day. No doubt the bonds trader still lives in the lap of luxury, galavanting with gorgeous women every day. In her anger, she fails to notice the predator's hunger in Caleb's eyes when he sees how beautiful she has grown.

I wasn't too impressed with the heroine on her choices. I mean, right their first night together, she runs off to Boston because of what her friends told her of him going off to the Caribbean with another girl. She doesn't confront or give him the chance to defend himself. She just runs off without explanation for eight years. She doesn't come home either because of her strenuous relationship with her father about her only dream is to marry and have kids but she wants her doctorate. After eight years, she finally comes back to her old brother's wedding with the hero as one of the groomsmen. She tries to pull off this distant attitude towards him too. The hero is still hurt from the heroine's disappearance and trying to figure out what happened. He even reveals his school teasing was the usual boy trying to get his crush's attention. However, the heroine pushes him away and keeps pushing till they're 3/4th's of the way done with the book. By then, she goes because she had a huge fight with her dad but after the coitus, she builds the walls right back up and leaves him. She goes back to the father's house where he gives it to her straight about how miserable the hero was and the whole Caribbean thing was a rumor. She realizes her mistake of taking a rumor's words over the hero and never talking to the him in the first place. Then the father admits he was wrong in his words but he was being too proud to admit till the hero spoke with him. During this time, the hero finds the heroine's necklace where he sees her wearing it all the time. He finds it's a locket with an old picture of him. He runs to the father's house who tells him about the heroine's departure. He manages to catch her at the airport. The heroine apologizes for her assumptions. The hero confesses his love for the heroine and wants to support her through anything like waiting for her to get her doctorate before getting married. It was very romantic. The heroine reveals her prepaid flight ticket to come back and we get a happy ending. It was alright, I was wasn't big on some of the heroine's actions.
