- The lie was doomed to fail 3
- JAB 02/10/2019
The heroine's devoted secretary who has held a torch for him a long time. She's on cloud nine with him proposing marriage till he revealed that the one he's prosing marriage is so she can be a fake fiancee for him to look good in front of the big boss. Personally, I don't know how he was going to accomplish this little lie of his since getting married is a pretty big deal and suddenly called off when it was with your secretary. I couldn't even believe the heroine went along with it. The two stick to it and I was quite happy to see both perspectives of them reflecting on their feelings for each other. Then the heroine gets the Cinderella makeover that turns head like the hero's. As they go further into the charade, the hero's feelings start developing for the heroine and the heroine's only gets stronger as she gets to know the hero more. Sadly, as they get further into the lie, the heroine's anxiousness starts to arise. It only intensifies when the poor personality of the hero's ex comes to destroy the heroine's self value. The hero comes to the conclusion that he doesn't deserve the heroine but they actually go through with the wedding. The heroine finally tells her feelings for the hero who leaves her because he can't take her virginity. So, she disappears the next morning and the hero doesn't know where to look. The boss's secretary finally reveals she knew about the whole lie and the heroine handing in her resignation. The hero shouts that it should be him handing his resignation in for his lies to his boss and so forth. The hero is then encouraged by the secretary to go after the heroine. When he sees the heroine, he confesses his love and begs her not to leave him. She answers his love with her own and they stay together.
