The heroine is hired by her older brother's boss in order get his niece back on the education path but he's only recently found out that his niece and the heroine's brother have been secretly dating. It driven up the wall but not more than the heroine who defied him via fashion, via education, via invitation to his bedroom (her rejection actually stumps him) This stems from the heroine from not feeling oh so beautiful but yet, she's dating a fellows teacher who she respects. It's pretty obvious the love factor isn't so strong but she uses it to reject the hero. The niece does act childish when it comes to the hero using her test scores in order to see the brother. Again, it's obvious he's using them to see if the girl is serious about the brother. The heroine can see it but gets the girl to focus on studying and prove to the hero she can do it. The heroine works real hard for the girl who becomes more absentminded till the days pass then suddenly disappears with the heroine's brother into the night. The heroine tries to keep the whole thing and the hero gives in with having a great time with her. Then he finds out and it's a cold day in the tropics. The heroine suspects that he's in love with his niece but she seems to have forgotten that they're related. The young lovers come back to the angry hero and heroine but the heroine is angriest and scariest with slapping her brother before the hero can and then berating the two for the trouble they've caused. The scold does help with building a better relationship between the hero and niece. Afterwards, the heroine tells the hero that she's leaving, ultimately breaking their hearts. She goes home to find her boyfriend making out with another woman and she breaks up with him. However, she's not feeling the same pain as she was when she left the hero. Then the hero comes to see her and everything comes out with the heroine's assumption and the hero clearing it all up. He reveals he promised the niece's father and niece he would keep winning for them. He declares his love for the heroine and she reveals her single status. She declares her love and we skim to end with a wedding and a yacht.
