Ignoring how agitated she is, Jonah tells her that their divorce was never finalized. The heroine gets a surprise when her husband of one year ago that she passionately married a year ago in Madrid but also hastily divorced a year ago. However, according to the hero, he hasn't filed the divorce papers. It's actually a night full of surprises with the hero stating he knows her true identity as the illegitimate child of an exiled king. It's a tricky business for the heroine who's been watching over her shoulder in fear of the people who want to kill her father will go after her. So, she has taken great precaution in not forming meaningful relationship as well as avoiding the camera. It includes the family because of his family political celebrity status. Her existence has been kept strictly secret but if the hero's family can find out her identity then who else can. The hero also reveals that they're still married and wants do the honeymoon for two weeks before they become divorced. It turns out the heroine's paternal identity isn't the only thing she kept secret; she was pregnant with the hero's baby but never informed him, even of the miscarriage. Sadly, she even thinks the information is pointless to tell him (that's going to bite her back in the end). He helps when it comes to a lot of things like convincing her to see her ill father after she has repeatedly denied his requests to see him. He gets her relaxed from the stress of it all like her sister deciding to elope with her fiancee when his family got too meddlesome. There is some trouble when the hero learns of the heroine's pregnancy and declares he can't trust her at all. The hero retracts his words about not wanting to divorce. It only takes a good chat with his mom who helps him realize the decisions the heroine's made. During the hero's chat with his mother, the heroine is finally having a chat with her father. She learns the truth behind her birth like her father being afraid of marrying her mother in fear she'll get caught by his enemies. Then he couldn't keep himself away but was too late when she married another man. She regrets the choices she made that hurt the hero and decides to go after him to apologize and confess her love for him. Right then, he appears behind her and confesses his love. He promises to protect her from her father's enemies. The heroine says yes and we get a happy ending.
