It's an interesting story that I liked. The heroine is unleashing her anger of her boyfriend dumping by throwing snowballs at a tree when the hero stumbles in her view looking battered and bruised. He collapses and she takes him home quickly before the blizzard rolls in that barricades them both from the outside world. The hero has no idea of who he is, only fragments of memories that slowly makes his way back as he spends time with the heroine. The heroine opens up about her family history with rough and tumble people; even focuses on how her paternal aunt and uncle's romance when the aunt was a man-hater after living with a bunch of hard men. The hero and heroine quickly connect over a variety of things till the snow clears and they head to the doctor for a check up and the sheriff to file a "found" person. The news of the strange man catches the men in her family's attention who swamp her house with their house and take the hero off to the poker table with the hero who cleans their clock. Afterwards, the hero remembers everything like his fiancée. He calls his family late that night then tells the heroine everything in the morning. He says he was engaged for business till his mother convinced not to marry if it was for love. He told the fiancée but the plane crash makes it for some loose ends that need to be tied. He asks the heroine to wait for him and she states that she will. He heads back to straighten things out with the fiancée who feels guilty because she lied about him not being on the plane that led to no search party looking for him and fearing she may have murdered him. The hero is sympathetic since he was ending their engagement only a month before their wedding with the invites sent out. The hero decides to take care of everything to have no strings attach when he goes back for the heroine. He comes on the wedding of her cousin's wedding to sweep her off her feet and carry her away like her aunt and uncle. It was rather a cute scene and I liked it a lot.
