The heroine is a woman who has cut herself off from the idea of ever being in love since she was told by her husband that he had an affair with another woman who he got pregnant when the heroine discovered she was infertile. It's what makes it easy for her to have a no strings attached relationship with the hero who is fine with it till the heroine decides to end their relationship. Her reason is she hears rumors about the hero being engaged but the hero admits to starting those rumors himself in order to get a buyer to sign an agreement with him. So, he has the heroine pretend to be his fake fiancee. They head to the tropics to meet the buyer who's a widow and they enjoy a wonderful conversation with him. Later that night, after getting in the rain, the two go back to passionate relationship. It's also that night that she wasn't the only one who was betrayed in her life; the hero was betrayed by his mother when she left him and his father for a richer man. The whole thing makes the heroine realize that the hero won't be able to pursue a romantic relationship and breaks things off with him. However, fate has other ideas and blessings with one of them being the heroine becomes pregnant. So, she resigns from the hero's company but the hero doesn't want her to and goes to see her at her home. Then he finds a pregnancy test box and learns of the heroine's pregnancy. In their spat, he learns of her divorce and reasons behind it and he leaves the words that he wants to be involved in his child's life. The hero sends encouraging notes and it takes a frightening situation to the hospital for them to be open to each other about their feelings. In the end, both reveal their love for each other and plan to get married and we fast forward a year to where we see all three family members together.
