WHAT THE GREEK'S MONEY CAN'T BUY
Love destroyed my world once…and I’ll never let it happen again.
Intelligent, unflappable Brianna was secretary to Sakis, the Greek shipping tycoon. After being abandoned by her mother, betrayed by her lover and sent to prison, she’d changed her name and vowed never to open her heart to anyone again. Not even her boss, despite her feelings for him. Then a company tanker got in an accident and the two of them ended up flying to the Republic of the Congo. But with only one room left in the hotel, they’ll have to share it!

The hero and heroine have been CEO and secretary for time to the point where they have only seen one side of the other. Then an oil spill from their ship sends them both into a panic. No kidding since oil is such a mess to clean up. Now, the hero gets to see the heroine defend him from nasty paparazzi who use his dad's scandal to goad him and the heroine sees the hero's emotional side. In fact, they're given the chance to see each other's different sides has only their attraction for the other only grow stronger. They even reveal about their pasts from the heroine's life of being on the streets to the hero as a teenager who watched his family fall apart from his father's adultery and business scandal all rolled up in one. Things escalate as the stock value of the company drops and the accident behind the oil rig becomes less an accident and more of a sabotaged incident. Then the heroine finds out a take over company is being headed by the man she once loved but was used as a scapegoat (he had her go to prison). I found the pancake scene particularly cute. Unfortunately, it goes sour with the ex-lover calling to blackmail the heroine into doing his bidding or he reveals her time in prison. It's just after that, the hero confesses his love for the heroine. Then they in up in a passionate relationship. Later on, the heroine is called by the EX to get dirt on the hero but she has her own plan of using him to get truth from the sinking incident. She has no idea that the paparazzi are following them and the hero not far behind. He's able to save the heroine in time and get the evidence of foul play. A week later, arrests are made and the heroine resigns from the hero's company. The hero allows and the heroine goes to the pancake house to drown her tears in syrup and whipped cream. As she eats while crying, the hero appears then sits down by the heroine. He pulls out a ring and confesses his love and wish to have to the heroine as his wife. The heroine accepts the ring in happy tears and we get a happy ending.
