RESOLUTION: MARRIAGE
Can a past love grow back after so many years of neglect?
Mary had hoped to go to the prom with her beloved boyfriend, but that wish was crushed when Gus, her boyfriend’s father, broke them up. Mary married another man in order to be able to raise the baby she was carrying in the heart of a warm, kind family. But Gus’s harassment continued, and Garrett never came to see her. Many years passed and, after Mary was widowed, Garrett appeared again. He’d struck it big in the meantime, but Mary had to think about what was best for her child and her heart.

Honestly, I find myself cheering for her husband more than the male lead. He such a nice man. He love not just her but her child as well. I cried the most when he told her, if only he could make her happy for the rest of her life! ugh!!!!!!! i cried!!! He knew that his days were counted and that he wouldn't be able to protect her anymore. I cried so much from that scene.

It was alright, but it was felt rushed with the illustrator having to stuff a romance worth over 28 years into 129 pages. I liked that the heroine did find someone to take care of her. The hero's father never got a happy life because his desire for cold cash only gave him a hard bed and a hard life. I did like that the hero's daughter did accept him in the end when she learned that her dad was her adoptive dad. It was an alright romance, but it just felt smooshed.
