TAMING THE HIGHLANDER 1
A pure maiden sacrificed to the beast…
A heavy fog covered the highland castle when a terrible scream pierced the dark night. Lady Kenna, the wife of the castle’s Connor MacLerie, was found dead at the bottom of the parapets. Known as a ruthless beast who was believed to have murdered his wife for not bearing him children, rumors about Connor spread throughout the land. Nearby clans feared the thought of offering their own daughters to him as brides. From a weaker clan, Jocelyn was unable to escape her fate. After being transported to Connor’s castle as his bride, his words made Jocelyn feel as if she were but a mare for breeding. “I will meet you in bed until you give me a son,” he said.

This was actually a pretty good romance with a woman who was forced into a marriage because her idiot brother didn't know how to be smart but she figures that behind the beastly nature of her new husband is a man who is desperate for love but is wrought over with guilt from his first wife's death that many claimed he killed her because she didn't give him a child. For me, I simply found the story fun and invigorating to read and liked that there was a second book to where we didn't have to miss so much. It's a definite read if you are in historical romances.
