We start off where the heroine and the hero head back with the hero ready to ask the heroine to marry him but the head maid intervenes by pushing the heroine to follow one of her broken memories to London with the promise of help. The heroine agrees because she doesn't want to give the hero any trouble with having him marry a no name woman that would damage his reputation because she loves him. Once she arrives in London, her memories fall like bread crumbs that lead her back home. Sadly, the shock of her past memories returning lead her to lose the memories she had with the hero. Meanwhile, the hero is in a ticked off mood at the head maid who's in tears when he finds out that not only did the head maid kick her out but lost her in London. When his butler comes back with information, the hero is able to put two and two together and discovers the heroine is the daughter of a huge diplomat. The heroine remembers she had a task from her father to send in evidence that one of the prince's friends was dealing in some illegal and terrorist activities. It's why she was targeted and captured. The hero goes to see the heroine and in the nick of time when both her maid and her are being accosted by the same men who kidnapped her. He saves her but his heart breaks when she doesn't recognize him at all. He's able to figure out that she lost his memories of him when regaining her past. Now, he's stuck in a pickle of how get the heroine when she has no memory of him. It's quite interesting of how he navigates between wooing her and having her coming back to the countryside in order to remember him. She does regain her memories in the end and it's quite a good ending. I liked how it went.
