Emergency: Mother Wanted
Despite her resolve, Keely’s falling for Zach…again!
As a new intern, Keely is shocked by the identity of her clinical instructor. It’s Zach—a friend of her brother’s, the man she was head over heels in love with when she was sixteen…and who rejected her marriage proposal. Zach lost his wife a year ago and is struggling with the care of their little girl. So Keely offers to help him with his daughter, but she also vows to herself not to fall in love with him again and to act like a sensible grown-up. As they spend time together, though, it becomes increasingly difficult for her to honor that vow…

- medical romance 3
- JAB 03/26/2019
It was decently paced romance. We have a hero and heroine were knew each other when they were kids and the hero was the heroine's brother's best friend. Now, when she was sixteen and he in his twenties, she asked him to marry her. The hero rejects it of course to the best of his ability because we discover he did want to say yes but she was too young. Plus, I doubt the heroine thought it through because they weren't even dating and this teenage girl just wants to marry him. She cuts contact from him and use the bad experience as a push to go to college and get a degree in nursing. It's in her first job that she reunites with the hero. Now, we are given the "Nanny become Mommy" where the hero is at a loss of caring for his toddler daughter. So, the heroine offers her free services of taking care of her till the hero can find a replacement. The two fight their feelings but the hero wants the heroine to leave because his daughter is getting too attached and the heroine will be leaving soon. They have a bit of a still point till their passion explodes and they can't keep their hands off each other. Things almost go well till the call about the new job sets the hero to put distance between the heroine and himself. He does a stupid thing but hiring a sitter but failing to mention it to the heroine as the woman introduces himself. The heroine leaves hurt and they put distance. They get together when the heroine and the hero's little girl are rolled into the ER from smoke inhalation. The little girl has little injury thanks to the heroine but she suffers a lot of smoke. The sight of seeing the heroine in danger pushes the hero to take the risk of confessing his feelings to the heroine and reveal his marriage to the little girl's mother was only a do the right thing. Plus, the little girl's mother abandoned the child in order to pursue her career but ended up dying in an accident. The hero asks the heroine to marry and she says yes. We end it story on a wedding page.
